Email access expired??

I'm current xfinity customer. I'm getting msg saying access has expired and to log in. But, it won't accept my pswd, and the code it's sent to my email, which I can't get into!  Why is access expired? How do I get in to my email listed as [Edited: "Personal Information"]

Thank you so much for contacting us here on the Forums, user_4fn8bz.  Former Xfinity customers can still use their Xfinity Email address after disconnecting services. Email accounts will remain active if you access them using the Xfinity Email website at least once every nine months. If you forget your Xfinity password, you can reset it by visiting xfinity.com/password. It might be unrecoverable if you cannot recover your password using the self-service options.

They said they are a current customer.
