After 2 hours on the phone they "coached" me into a reset of the Xfinity account. After two resets same lost mail box.  I have had this a few times over many years and it is always a big production. In the past that required an overnight fix. I have now reset the account twice to no avail. Maybe in the darkness there will be success.  If an account is hacked I may not know abut it for weeks until I try a withdrawal .  Back to the little Chat Box.

Mine reappeared. It wasn’t my main email accounts that had the issue, but an important one nonetheless. I changed my password for it, then it showed back up, took a little while for it to be accessible afterwards.

@oscardelahoya   I went to the Chat system but got nowhere. Something needs reset since the data is probaply intact. I really need to communicate with serious accounts - medical & bank. I am too old to get involved with some arcane reset process. I hope N3V can fix this or I am in deep trouble.

This is great news. @bjjohnston Did the password reset resolve your issues?

I suppose it was the reset password that solved the issue.

Great, I'm glad to hear that worked for you @bjjohnston. There was a password reset that was required a few months back, so that could have caused the hiccups. Let us know if you run into hiccups again.

If I had the IMAP address for adding a mail account I could just open a new account and direct everyone to that. But I need something called an IMAP address Does anyone know where that is so I can make a new mailbox??

@oscardelahoya   Just to review - one of 4 email names/accounts was deactivated/deleted. No reason given. Someone just deleted the mailbox. I have lots of very important items flowing through that email address.  The latest event was the appearance of the "removed" email account/box but with messages from 2022. It is not functional. I have medical and financial contacts through this mail address. I suspect that the data is gone forever. Can I please be allowed to install a NEW email with the old name so Banks, doctors, etc. can contact me - PLEASE!

When I try to add a new email account I am told that I need an IMAP address, whatever that is. Does anyone know what the "IMAP address" is for making a new mailbox account?

Note: That is an individual email box not a complete account.

"The provided login data to access mail server imap.comcast.net seem to be wrong. Please correct them"

The above is a message I get when I sign on to my mail. How can something SEEM TO BE WRONG. Sending and receiving on my REMAINING email "boxes" works OK.

The "Pease Correct Them" is another gem. How can I correct this technical jargon?

The Blairsville node must be conducting a "work action". An email account is "removed" and now this. What next?

Hello oscardelahoya, Thank you for reaching out to our Forum for help with your missing email, I know how important our email can be. I practically live out of my inbox, so I can only imagine what you've been going through, especially considering you use it for important emails. I'd like to ask a few clarifying questions to make sure we get on the same page from the start. Have you logged into the missing email within the last year? Also, are you using a 3rd part email to access your Comcast email account? If so, are you able to confirm if you have access to the missing email account on the Xfinity website?

Yes, I logged in every day. I am using the APP provided by Xfinity and have been dong that for several years.

Many friends and businesses communicate to me via this address - [Edited: "Personal Information]

Thank you for responding.  All I want is to have it fixed so I can review messages from bank prescription manager, etc. Please!
