Email address transfer

I need to transfer a email address to another user, but have cancelled my service over a year ago. I was able to keep me emails but now can't figure out how to sign in to edit it without a current account. Thanks Michael

@user_rj4deu Thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Community Forum. As long as you are actively using that email address it will be available for you to use but if you go 12 months without accessing it will be closed for good and there is no way to reinstate it.

I am using it but have a email that was made under my account for a friend and it is requesting her to change the password. Because the account is no longer open and I don't know what phone number I used 25 years ago I can not change password or transfer it to her current account. Thanks

@user_rj4deu I would like to take a closer look at this and see if we can help. To get started, can you please send me a direct message with the name and address of that old account as well as the email address you are working with? 

 

To send a "Direct Message" message:

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Direct Messaging" icon at the top of the page (looks like a text bubble)
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it
