email delays

On Tues at 3:38 p.m. I sent an email to 150 members of a club I run.  My own name is a recipient which helps me be sure the email was sent as intended.  I received my copy about 28 hours later.  My club's many members are at many different ISPs, most of whom get the emails immediately.  But people on my list with comcast addresses get significant delays too, though our copies don't arrive at the same time.

This is unacceptable.  I need all my members to receive instant notifications of changes to upcoming events and even cancellations.   A day or two later isn't good enough.

I see that Comcast is aware of this problem--many have complained about it here.   Realizing that, what I want to know is not why is this happening, but why is it STILL happening and what is Xfinity going to do about it?

Hey there user_rnju5w I can certainly understand the importance of making sure the messages regarding events are delivered in a timely manner. I do have a few questions to help me assist better. Are you experiencing this delay when using the Xfinity website? How long has this been occurring?

I am sending the messages from Outlook, but have double checked the Xfinity site to confirm that they aren't there either.  And they have not been.  Tuesday's copy took 28 hours to reach me.  One on Wednesday took ten hours to reach me and actually beat the first one I mentioned.  And a third sent Thursday still hasn't shown up.   Anyone on my mailing list of 150 names with a Comcast address is having the same issues.  The problem is specifically Comcast-to-Comcast mail.  Recipients with non-Comcast addresses are unaffected.    THIS IS INSANE.

I appreciate the additional information, and definitely understand the concern with this. When you send an email from the Xfinity website, is there the same delay?

I do not know.  It's an on and off problem. Perhaps it happens more often I realize but I only am aware of it when there's a high need.  But as for trying to send from Xfinity, if the recipients at other addresses are receiving the emails promptly, then it's not an Outlook issue, is it.  It's only the Comcast-to-Comcast addresses.

@user_rnju5w , would it be possible to test things directly from the Xfinity website? I will place the link below just in case it has been a while since you have accessed it.
