Email Filters
I am constantly getting spam from someone who is using a "VIA" address. I can block direct "from" messages but can't seem to set up a rule to block the "Via" sender. I have tried basically every field available in the rules setup but still can't block the address (.omnicrosoft). Please see the attached photo. Any help would be appreciated. This is very annoying, Thanks

Hey there, @user_rj8tzj! Thanks for creating a post about this email concern. I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you've had, and I would love to see what our Digital Care Team can do to help! I understand that you're able to block messages "from" specific senders, but cannot choose messages that come "via" certain addresses. That is odd, but we'll definitely try to figure this out for you. I don't want to overlook anything, and it may have just been a typo, but are you able to confirm that you've tried blocking the correct address of "onmicrosoft"? You typed it as "omnicrosoft," which doesn't match what we see in the image you provided.

Has anyone had any success filtering these messages? I get tons of them everyday. All of the VIA an onmicrosoft address...

If the "From:" address (or some other header) always contains "onmicrosoft.com", a filter with a condition like:
Sender/From Contains onmicrosoft.com
should match it. If the domain appears in some other header you can use
Header [name] Contains onmicrosoft.com
to catch it.
Note that you can't use filters on messages delivered to the Spam folder. Their filters only operate on messages delivered to the Inbox, and only as they are being delivered. To use webmail filters to discard mail Comcast considers to be Spam you'd have to turn off their spam filtering so the messages would be delivered to the Inbox. But that would leave spam filtering entirely up to you, so probably not a good idea.

If you are trying to filter on "VIA", maybe try filtering on "onmicrosoft.com" instead.

I have done that, but it doesn't work. Filtering the header (last suggestion given) does not work either, as I just received a slew of emails - all under different senders, but VIA the onmicrosoft.com address - after I tried filtering the header. This is beyond frustrating and should be dealt with by Xfinity for sure!

Maybe posting what you have tried would be helpful.
And, as @BruceW has posted, you can't filter anything that already goes to your Spam folder.

That's dangerous advice. Unsubscribing from a legitimate sender (one that you've subscribed to) is OK, but clicking ANY link in an email from a spammer or a scammer is asking for trouble. You should NEVER click "Unsubscribe" or any other link in spam email!
