Email is not working anymore in iOS mail app

My Comcast email is suddenly no longer syncing or working in my mail app. I was in contact with Apple support thinking it was on their end but it was not. Chat bot for xfinity only kept saying my email is not ready to upgrade with yahoo. I don’t get why my email is suddenly not working or sync now when my email on the website works perfectly. This is annoying that I can’t use my email in a convenient way with the iOS app when I rely on the mail app for my emails numerous times a day. Please help. Just want my email to work again.

user_gqvjx7, Thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Support. Have you already migrated your Comcast email to Yahoo Mail?

@XfinityAngie I have not. I have not seen anything to do it. Supposedly when I chatted with the xfinity ai assistant, my email is not ready to migrate.

Comcast has jettisoned its e-mail service and handed it over to Yahoo.  Probably not an upgrade for most users.  Now, I can't get my Comcast/Yahoo e-mail on my iPhone; it continually asks for a password which never works).  I've seen other postings, saying that one must go to the xfinity mail server and enter in some commands -- but that does not work, since my e-mail has already been handed over to Yahoo.

How do I get my Comcast/Yahoo e-mail on my iPhone?

@user_sijgvs Thanks for reaching out. I hope your day is going well. I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble receiving your email, and I would be more than happy to assist you today. Please follow this link to complete the conversion: Upgrade your comcast.net email experience to Yahoo Mail. Once you accept Yahoo's terms of service, Yahoo Mail will become your email provider, and you will only be able to access your comcast.net email via the Yahoo Mail platform.
