Hello Susanrosemarin
Thank you so much for reaching out! We do have those style of notifications that go out. Below I did include a link on how to check through the Xfinity website and app on the data usage.

If you are talking about your email storage, and you are using a third party app for your email, you should log in to webmail at https://connect.xfinity.com/appsuite to check your storage. The amount of storage for your email has absolutely nothing to do with your cache. If there was a link provided in that email I hope that you did not click on it!
All email from Xfinity/Comcast, when viewed via the website, will have a verified logo next to it.
If you ever get an email that seems suspicious webmail is the place to check it out!
You can also check your webmail storage by logging in and then clicking on the Gear icon in the upper right of the email page. At the bottom you will see how much storage you have left. If you are in the upper 90% you should think of deleting some emails.
