email not syncing with outlook

For the past week or so, my Outlook downloads emails from Comcast only sporadically.  I can read them in the Comcast web site, and emails sent from Outlook are received by Comcast, and delivered consistently without a problem.  I have not reset my password for several months.

Hello @Joethegoalie38, thanks for reaching out for help with your email. 

By chance have you already tried removing your Xfinity email from out look completely and then re-adding it following these steps: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/configure-outlook-express-xfinity-internet?view=app? Sometimes redoing everything can help with sync issues, but out team is here to help if you still have issues after trying these steps.

Thanks for your help.  It has started working again, so I think I will leave this particular sleeping dog lie, but I'm saving the email and the instructions at the link for when if it happens again.
