email password correct but I can't send or receive

email password correct but I can't send or receive. Xfinity made me change my password. I can login on their website but Thunderbird and other programs cannot, even though I am putting in the correct password.

Good afternoon grebztinmas. Have you already fully deleted the email account, and then attempted to log back in on Thunderbird, or the other programs?

No. But it all magically started working again about 6 hours later, with me doing nothing. Called the Customer Assurance number (which is just about impossible to find -- it's 888-565-4329, in csse anyone else here may need it) and spoke with someone who didn't help, but "escalated" the ticket, promising a call back that never came. But maybe they did something.
