Email problems with outlook

Ok I figured it out. For some reason today New outlook is not working with the mail server and this makes the 2nd time in 6 months this has happened. If I Switch to the old outlook everything is fine. Not sure if they are messing with the email servers or it is a MS problem.

Sadly after yet another maintenance upgrade I am unable to receive or send email on my computer running the latest's version of outlook 365 which is updated. I can log onto my email via my outlook app on android fine and through the web portal. It is the same on all Windows computers in my house. Everything is fine on phones and tablets but not windows outlook.

Yesterday, MS outlook (new app) stopped syncing my comcast account. This happened simultaneously on two computers, all of my other accounts on each machine continued to sync ok.  Deleting and re-adding the account did not fix it. The only solution was to go back to the old outlook. I believe this is Microsoft's problem.

I have the same problem. It happens with both classic Outlook and New Outlook (which I hate). I have tried everything suggested below, spent hours with MS technician who also tried everything in his toolbox. I can receive and send email using Comcast email as a default (which I also hate since it does not have the functionality of Classic Outlook). This has been going on for months. 

Here is the message I receive:

! Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for [Edited: "Personal Information"].' reported error (0x800CCC0E): 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folder for [Edited: "Personal Information"]. Error: Cannot to server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

! Task '[Edited: "Personal Information"] - Sending reported error (0x800CCC92): 'Your email server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password for this account in Account Settings.'

I would appreciate working with an agent and not just using live chat. I need you to fix the problem once and for all. I am semi-literate technically, but am getting old and angry about this entire situation.
