Email sent to my recently created group not working, Why?

I've created an email group, but after I sent out a 'test' email with a request of a reply to let me know the group mailing was working, I only received one requested reply.  What can I do to verify that the group mailing is working?

As far as your group email, it could possibly be that the folks you emailed haven't read the email yet.
