Email service complaint

Xfinity what is being done about attachments not being able to be downloaded on “Comcast.net”. That is my mail server and gateway into the net. I have used Comcast.net for years under [Edited: "Personal Information"] and have no trouble receiving attachments until now. Could you provide a solution to this problem.  [Edited: "Personal Information"]      Thank you  Greg

Thanks for taking the time to post on our community forums, gmsa18. I'm sorry you're unable to download your attachments. There's a known issue involving customers not being able to view attachments with downloading them being a workaround for the problem. Are you attempting to do so directly through the website here, or are you using a third party email client such as Outlook, Apple Mail, or Thunderbird?

thank you for the response. I am attempting to open/download right through my Comcast email program. I have not received any notice as of yet for the switch over for email service either.      Greg [Edited: "Personal Information"]

Thanks for verifying that, gmsa18. We can confirm this is a known issue that our engineers are aware of and continuing to work on. We do apologize for any inconvenience or frustration this is causing you in the meantime. 

 

Xfinity will continue inviting customers with a Comcast.net email address to upgrade their account to Yahoo Mail (at no extra cost). These invitations will be sent in phases through 2026. So please still be on the lookout for the invite email. Once you receive the invite, to make sure the invite is really from Comcast, you can sign in at connect.xfinity.com. Once signed in, you will be given the option to move your email account to Yahoo Mail or proceed to your inbox.
