email to the alias of my main account no longer is recieved

I have had an alias to my main email account for years.  It stopped working a week or so ago.  It was so long ago I have no idea how I set it up and how to go about debugging it.  Is there any tech support from xfinity any more?

The last email to [Edited: "Personal Information] I received was on 4/15, but I can't really say when I started getting the error when trying to receive messages began.  I access my email daily, but for the last couple of weeks at least I have been getting a failure on the alias address.

@user_tpgs53 Is this error message on our website or on a third party program like Outlook? Just to confirm, you set up the Xfinity email as the alias from your other email address, correct?

I use Outlook.  I am pretty sure the alias was created from within Outlook.  The following is the error message reported by Outlook when trying to retrieve the email messages.


Task [Edited: "Personal Information] - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC92) : 'Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password for this account in Account Settings.  The server responded: -ERR [AUTH] Authentication failed.'

FYI: my wife was talking with an xfinity representative a week or so ago and they offered her a change to our plan.  Could that have broken my secondary account?
