Email transfer to Yahoo

The recent transfer of my Comcast.net account has resulted in the loss of my archived messages.  These lost messages included electronic tickets for future concerts and plays.  Also, reference material, impossible to replace, has been lost.   They must exist somewhere. Is there any chance of recovery?

Hello f15skip16! I'm sorry to read that some emails were lost in the transfer to yahoo. I know how vital those emails are for you, especially with the upcoming events. I am showing that there was a limit with transferring emails with attachments over 25 MB. If that is the reason they were not moved over they should still be available in your Xfinity inbox. If you visit https://connect.xfinity.com are you able to access the Xfinity inbox?

They won't be able to access their inbox because they have already migrated.

@f15skip16

How long ago did you migrate?  Some people have reported that files and folders have shown up several days after their migration.

@f15skip16 Once your account is moved, you'll be able to sign in at login.yahoo.com with your Comcast.net email address and password.  Include the @comcast.net part of your email address when signing in.

  • Folder names over 240 characters need to be shortened to be moved to Yahoo.
  • Email messages larger than 25MB need to be downloaded and deleted before your account is moved.
  • Up to 4,100 folders can be moved. Folders over 4,100 will be consolidated into a single folder.
  • Messages in an unsupported format will not be moved. You'll need to download these before the move to keep them.
  • A maximum of 10,000 contacts can be moved. Only contacts saved to "Address Book" will be moved. Contacts that are categorized as "Collected addresses" in your Comcast.net email account will not be moved.
  • Custom folders matching Yahoo system folders will be renamed in Yahoo Mail.

  • Email messages larger than 25MB must be downloaded and deleted before your account is moved.
  • Email messages larger than 25MB that aren't deleted before your move will be put in a special folder for you to download and delete.

Also note:

  • Download and delete any emails with attachments totaling more than 25 MB since we will not be able to move them. Otherwise, they will be moved to a separate folder in your Xfinity Email inbox, and you will be notified that you have 30 days to download them.
