Email using Thunderbird

I am using Thunderbird and not able to get my emails from Xfinity, he was working fine until yesterday. Nothing has changed. I get message "connect to comcast.net has been reset or refused

@user_320sjv Are you still experiencing issues with your email setup? 

 

You may need to make sure you turn youraccess to third-party email programs on and you can check the third-party email settings are correct as well here.

I have been having very similar issues. A few days ago out of the blue, Thunderbird could not retrieve my new emails from both of my set up comcast email accounts. It asks for the password and when I entered it correctly, it did not accept it and keeps asking for the password. I tried to set up my comcast email accounts on Betterbird, and whether I  use the IMAP or POP3 setup, it does not accept it saying. I would be grateful for any suggestions. Thank you

Try removing the old password from Betterbird.
