Emails to mac.com and me.com domains fail

When I attempt to send an email to mac.com and me.com domains, they are returned as failed.  All other emails go through with no problem. I am using the connect.xfinity email. I attempted to send through my gmail account with the same problem. The common denominator is that I am using comcast to access the internet. All of my friends who do not use comcast for internet DO NOT have this problem. Any thoughts?

Hey there @specbus

I actually just gave this a try with both my Gmail and Comcast emails set to my iPhone @me. com and they went through no problem. To be sure I tried both on and off a VPN and on a personal device. There could be a security setting on your network that is flagging them or something with the @me .com addresses. What happens when you try to send something on mobile data or connected to a different WiFi network?

👍Great! That is really the number one step in isolating where the hiccup might be originating. Thank you very much for getting us in the loop on this! I hope your evening is outstanding.

I was able to send an email using gmail account on my phone on the Visible Network.  Whenever I try at home using Comcast internet access on any of three separate PCs or my phone using Xfinity mail, the email fails. This is starting to sound like a Comcast issue.

I spoke with Customer Security Assurance. They walked me through all of the settings on my email accounts.  They changed the filter settings.  Mail to mac.com domain now seems to go through without a problem. so, problem solved. The only thing I don't understand is that I have never touched the filter settings, so I'm not sure what changed.  Regardless, the problem is fixed. Thanks for the referral to CSA.
