Emails Unrecoverable

Hello I was informed today after escalating to the Comcast CEO’s office that my emails lost as a result of the outage on January 12, 2024 are not able to be recovered.  In my case all emails were erased from 1/1/24 to 1/12/24. During the discussion I was informed email is “free” with internet and therefore Comcast does not have a backup server.  Additionally because it is “free” there is no financial compensation for losing emails. So beware if you expect your emails to be safe Comcast is not secure and at least in some cases has no ability to recover after their outages. When I challenged the person further and eventually asked to speak with someone else that person with the CEO’s office said they are the highest escalation and there was nothing more they can do. So that’s that. Estimated 600 emails have vanished for a 12 day period including inbox and sent and Comcast is unable to fix the issue.
