Emails with attachment arrive minus the attachments (incoming or outgoing)

Good afternoon,

I have observed an issue regarding attachments getting omitted from emails whether they are incoming from my end or outgoing.

This is particularly true when corresponding with overseas parties.

How common is this issue and what is the remedy?

Thank you.

Hello, @Modurm! Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community Forum! We have no documentation showing any information on an issue with attachments being omitted from email. Is this via your comcast.net email address? If so, is this within the web based portal or a third party mail application?

Hello Frank,

Yes, this issue is concerning my Comcast.net email address. This issue has been observed when I log directly into Comcast.net (server) as well as the third party mail app on my iPad (client) in which I am receiving and sending comcast emails.  To clarify, there are two main issues:

1) The issue isn’t just receiving attachments, it sometimes pertains to receiving the emails themselves.

2) Furthermore, I should also clarify that this issue  specifically pertains to emails being received and sent to India. They often but not always include attachments.

3) I have also seen an example where my Indian family members have received my email but not received the attachment I included.

I do not appear to have an issue receiving and sending emails containing attachments when they are being sent domestically in the United States.

I hope this helps to narrow the issue to international emails. As an alternative, gmail seems to work, but I am hoping that you can indicate if there is a known issue with emails when received from and being sent to Indian e-mail addresses.

Thank you.

Modurm I appreciate the details. There have been some reported cases with sending and receiving emails, and my best recommendation is to create a report ticket through our Customer Security Assurance team. They have a list of FAQs that may be helpful to try on their webpage, but at the bottom of the page is the option to create a ticket and they will investigate and contact you as well.
