Errors - Can't send/receive email

All of sudden I can't send or receive email on web email or iPhone. This has been ongoing for at least 4 hours that I am aware of.

I am getting the following error messages.

"An error occurred inside the server which prevented it from fulfilling the request" 

and 

"Unable to connect to mail server. Possible reasons: The mail server is (temporarily) down or there are network connection problems. Please try again in a few minutes".

I tried to chat with support but after 2 hours, transferred to 3 different people and the last one in "password support" I got frustrated and quit. Tried to call and the wait time is over 40 minutes, so I scheduled a call back.

I am loosing money with no access to email and am at my whits end.

Please someone help me.

I'd be happy to assist you in getting in the right direction for getting your services back up and running. Before we begin, can you please share any troubleshooting steps you have already tried? This way we know where to pick up at, and we don't repeat the same steps.
