Getting into email

So I’ve read a couple different things on here but I used to have an account but canceled it about a year ago, I can still access the account and get into the account but can’t access the email, the Comcast.net email because it’s been over 90 days. I was on the phone yesterday with a guy for around 2 hours and he told me he’d have to get me to security level 2 to fix this issue it’s been over 24 hours. I really  need the email address activated for a security code sent to that email but I can’t get in to the email part. If there is a quick fix to this I would like to know. I’ve done everything possible, clearing cookies, using both chrome and safari. Safari throws an error code but chrome just keeps reloading the page and won’t let me in. Please help when someone gets a chance.

Hello @user_aom74z, and thanks for reaching out with your access concern. If I understand you correctly, you are trying to get into an email for an account that was closed and no longer active. You also haven't accessed the email in over 90 days. Is all of this correct?

I really need an important security code sent to that email from Microsoft and I’ve been trying to access the email ending with Comcast.net for over a day.

I wish there was something I could do, but I'm not sure any team will be of any assistance given no access for 9 months. When that window expires the email gets listed as inactive and removed from the server automatically. There has to be access to an email at least every 9 months for emails not on active accounts to remain active on our email server. At this point, I have no resource I can use to get the email active again sorry.

Well can I create an email with the exact email address I used so I can get my security code? Like make another email

Under create new user, you make one using the same information for the ID as the last one to get the email you wish to create. Like if you wanted BillyFondlow.comcast.net, you would set up the user BillyFondlow. They don't have to be anything like a Manager though for the email generation.

Thanks for confirming that. To make sure there is at least a possibility, was this email accessed within the last 9 months?

You wouldn't be able to make an active new email with us without an active account to attach it to. If you have any friends or family with an active account, they may be able to set one up.
