How do I stop duplicate email from xfinity@updates.xfinity.com?

I get duplicate copies of every email message from xfinity@updates.xfinity.com. For each legitimate email, I will receive 8-12 or so duplicates over the next day or two. Every message has the same timestamp, even when it is delivered the next day. They are identical. I have contacted my ISP and they can't explain it. The mail messages are not stuck in the mail queue and being resent, for example. I have not been able to solve this while chatting with Xfinity support.

If anyone has a way to stop email from updates.xfinity.com I would do that, but I think one cannot unsubscribe from them.

Thank you for your help.

Hi there, @user_70tol8 I hope you're having a good weekend. I understand how annoying that would be to get duplicate emails. Duplicate Xfinity emails with identical timestamps are likely caused by a POP3 account setting ("Leave a copy of messages on server") causing redownloads, a misconfigured email forward, or a server-side bug. To stop the 8-12 daily duplicates, switch from POP3 to IMAP, disable "Leave a copy on server", or create a server-side filter to delete messages from updates.xfinity.com.-Richard

Thanks, but that's not it. I already use IMAP.

Where is email from updates.xfinity.com set up? Email from account.xfinity.com doesn't give me duplicates.

Are the emails that are being received in regard to the Xfinity membership rewards?
