Have you checked in webmail to see if those folders are already there?

@Again unfortunately i downloaded gmail primarily to use a particular voice typing program and I stupidly synched to my xfinity email program  and when the procedure was over i found that all my folders in xfinity connect were lost.  [Edited: "Personal Information]) back to xfinity.  What is webmail? And how do i get into it?  Thanks!!

When I say "webmail" I mean Xfinity Connect, since you access it via the webpage.

Are you sure they're lost?  Look for arrows that point to the right instead of down.
