I access email daily

I access my Comcast.net email everyday, I send and receive email daily. Will my account go away? Must I transition to yahoo to keep my email? How do I do that?

Hdrockercgirl Thank you for posting on our forum so we can answer your questions about the Xfinity Email migration. You'll be notified 30 days in advance to move your comcast.net email account(s) to Yahoo Mail. When the time comes, you will have three options:

1. Move your email to Yahoo Mail by accepting Yahoo’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to keep your comcast.net email address.
2. Export your email data using the Xfinity Email Export Portal.
3. Close your account using the Xfinity Email Export Portal, which will result in email account closure and data deletion.

Will my email address change to yahoo.com or will it stay the same? I have used my email address everywhere! All of my apps and everywhere I shop and have shopped! I cannot comprehend the nightmare I’m about to have if I have to change my email address everywhere. Even places I shopped a decade ago.

@XfinityEmilyB I received 3 emails from Comcast and unfortunately after I checked the link and logged in I realized that each one was from a different Comcast email address. I think I was scammed! So now they have my email credentials! I immediately went to xfinity and changed my email password but now I can’t send email. This is the exact nightmare I didn’t want! I can’t believe Comcast did this!

I completely understand where you are coming from @Hdrockercgirl! The comcast.net email will remain the same, it will simply be managed through Yahoo Mail going forward. You can find all details here along with directly from Yahoo here. Directly from that page, they are aware of phishing attempts with clicking on links, regarding the access from your email account. Changing your password which is exactly what you have done would be the best route. Once you have accepted the terms of Yahoo Mail, you will need to follow their support channels for further assistance.
