I can not access gmail.com I have not made any changes to my settings but for the last several days I have not been able to access my gmail from thunderbird. If I ping gmail.com I receive no packets

We can't really troubleshoot your gmail account in Thunderbird. Are you able to get to gmail.com on the web?
