I can't email myself

Help.  I can no longer email myself.  I would sometimes email an article from my iPhone to myself so I could open it at home on my computer or I would sometimes email myself on my home computer to view the article on my iPhone when traveling.  Approximately 7 days ago this has stopped working.  I called Xfinity several times during the course of two days, was given a case number, and I was told someone would get back to me.  No one has gotten back to me.  I use the Xfinity mail on my phone and on my computers.  I have not changed my password and I have been emailing myself for years.  Could someone please provide the necessary help to fix this problem.

Were you able to resolve this?  I have the exact same problem and for the same reasons as you stated and in about your same timeframe. I fixed it once by logging out of Comcast/xfinity and back in. The fix lasted a couple days but then happened again and now logging out/in does not help. Thanks..

Are you using a native phone app, third-party email client, email web portal? 

 

Are you attempting to send an Xfinity email to a third-party email, send an Xfinity email to your same Xfinity email, or a third-party email to your Xfinity email?

Thank you for responding. This happens when I try sending myself an email from my own comcast email account. When I open Comcast email I choose 'send new email' and address it to myself. So I am sending an email from my comcast.net address to that same address. After I send it I get a message saying something to the effect that "email was not sent, try again later, see outgoing email".  When I look at 'outgoing' folder the email is there ready to be sent again. I try sending from there and same thing happens.

I can send an email from my gmail account to my comcast account no problem, so that's what I've started doing. But I have been sending from and to my Comcast.net account for many years and now I can't.

Thanks for the explanation! Do you have any issues sending emails from your email address to anywhere else? Also, have you had anyone tell you that they get that same message when sending emails to your Comcast email?
