I changed my password and now I cannot send emails

After changing my password, I can receive emails but I can't send email through smtp.comcast.net. I'm on a Mac using Mail.app and yes, I did updated the password in Mail.app for both receiving (which again, works) and for sending.

What am I doing wrong?

Try deleting the Comcast account from Mac  Mail, then re-create it again from scratch.  Let Mail auto-configure it for you.  See if that does the trick.

now I get a "unable to verify account name or password".

and yes, I'm sure the username and password are correct, I tried the same username/password to log in to Xfinity.com. including logging in to type this message

Thank you for reaching out. It took a few days (roughly 3 days) to start working again. Not sure if it took that long for the new password to propagate in your system or what else. Anyways, is working now
