I'm trying to sign into my e-mail

it says I am not giving the right password the same one I have been using for years.

edvolz, Thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Support. Here are instructions on how to change your password. Even if you have been using the same password for years, it may have been compromised, so it is a good thing to change it. 
  1. Sign in to your Xfinity account as the Primary user.
  2. Click on the Account icon and select **Account and Identity**.
  3. Find the user whose password you want to change and select them.
  4. Scroll to the **Xfinity ID** section and click **Change Password**.
  5. Verify your identity by tapping a notification in the Xfinity app or entering a code sent via email or text.
  6. Enter a new password and confirm it, then choose **Save**.

After changing, the secondary user should log in to add a mobile number or email for future resets.
