I have no idea what my IMAP password is so I can get into my comcast.net inbox.

If you are using Comcast's email servers (connect.xfinity.com, mail.comcast.net, imap.comcast.net, and smtp.comcast.net), the email (IMAP) password is the same as the password you use to log in to a Comcast/Xfinity web page or app. There is no separate "IMAP password".

If you need to reset that password, see https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/changing-or-resetting-your-password. If you change it you'll also have to update it on any devices, apps, and programs (email, Xfinity app. etc.) that use it.

Good afternoon user_xtcdp7. You can reset your Xfinity password online by visiting the Xfinity Password Reset Tool
 
How to Reset Your Password Online
  • Go to Xfinity Password Page.
  • Enter your Xfinity ID (username, mobile number, or non-Comcast email) and click Continue.
  • Complete the security check by typing the characters shown on the screen.
  • Choose how to get your verification code (via text message, phone call, or email).
  • Type the code you receive.
  • Enter and confirm your new password.
