imap server wont respond to desktop outlook; repeatedly times out

None of my several comcast.net email accounts are working in desktop Outlook... I can connect, i can send emails, but the accounts (your server) won's sync and update so can[t receive email (emails i do get in the outlook app on my phone). Error reported is "server timeout". even tried deleting an account and reading, but can]t even do that as the server won't respond during set up and it errors out. I have tripple checked all settings, passwords, etc. All things are right on my end, this is certainly a comcast server issue. and from a quick google, i am not alone.
would try to connect via your support chat but that's a nightmare hell scape with no option to get to a human being, let alone one who knows anything.
come on. this is ridiculous

Hi there, user_lk18vx! Thanks for taking the time out of your day to reach out about email box. Most times when this is happening it is due to not having password reset options associated with your email boxes (Xfinity IDs). You must have a personal email address, aside from the Comcast email box, or a cell phone number associated with each email box. Have you reached out to our Customer Security Assurance department, CSA, about this? They can get those options added so the email box works properly at the server once again. You can reach them by calling 1-800-XFINITY (1-800-934-6489) and requesting CSA.
