Inbox loads, but unable to send
Hi. I am able to get new emails in my Xfinity inbox, but whenever I try to send an email, I get a message that says "An error occurred inside the server which prevented it from fulfilling the request." This happens only on my computer. I am able to send emails through my Xfinity account using the iPhone email app.

Update: I just tried again (5 hours later), and now I get this error message: "The connection to remote server smtp.comcast.net was refused or timed out while attempting to connect. Please try again later."
The connection did not time out as the error message appeared immediately after I clicked send.
Does anyone know what is going on? Is this widespread or isolated?

I'm having the same issue...except my outgoing email says sent and does not give me an error message...it just goes into the sent folder. However, the recipient never receives it. I'm able to get incoming emails but just can't send them (with one exception...if I send it to myself it will show up in my inbox). I don't use a third party email program (like Outlook) but just log into Xfinity through my Safari browser. This problem started this past Sunday and I've tried to find solutions on this forum as well as online but to no avail.

My workaround is to create the email on my computer using the Xfinity interface, and then when it fails to send, save it as a draft. Then I can send it from my iPhone using the Mail app. But it would be nice for someone here to acknowledge the issue and possibly let me know how to fix it. I can't spend hours and hours waiting for someone on the phone to not be able to fix it.
