incoming emails

incoming emails are going to trash and now going to spam, what happened and how do you or us fix

Hi there @user_4139c8 thank you so much for reaching out about issues with your email.  We are happy to assist! Please let me know if the steps below are helpful.  I have also dropped the link for more info. 

 

Incoming Xfinity emails moving to Trash or Spam are usually caused by erroneous filter rules, strict anti-spam settings, or third-party app synchronization (like Outlook/Apple Mail). To fix this, delete accidental filters in Xfinity Webmail (Settings > Filter Rules), mark emails as "Not Spam" to train the filter, and add important contacts to your address book.

Hi - overnight, without changing any settings, my incoming emails are going directly to trash folder, not inbox folder - what to do?
