Incoming Mail Rejected

I have received several letters from financial institutions where I have active accounts indicating that emails sent to my comcast email account are being returned.  On the accounts I have set up paperless statements with them and in one case they said they would need to charge me a monthly fee if they cannot contact me via email.  I checked my accounts on their website and all is up to date.  What to do to correct this situation?

This actually happens a lot.  Personally, given the fact that Comcast is actively migrating all email accounts to Yahoo! Mail, for financial institutions I suggest getting another non-comcast.net email address for those accounts.

Greetings, @philipj! I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your email, but you have definitely come to the right place for assistance.

Are you using a Safe Senders list (https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-connect-safe-list) that includes these financial institutions, by any chance, or do you have that feature disabled? Are you missing emails from any other senders (that you know of), or is it primarily just these senders? How long ago did this start happening?

Hi JamesC,  This is very recent.  I received 2 notifications via postal mail from different institutions that said their emails sent to me were being rejected.  I have paperless accounts and because they can't contact me via email they are going to charge a monthly fee for paper.  I have always received emails from these senders and I have no idea what their email address would be in the incoming mail.  Regarding the safe list I have no idea why you would suggest that.  I want to receive ALL emails and let Spam filter them into my spam folder.  I receive many emails and do not want to block anything.  Still unclear why this is happening.  Any other guidance would be appreciated.  I have considered using an alternate email address if my comcast mail does not work.  Thanks.

Thank you for clarifying, @philipj. We should be able to get to the bottom of this for you. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.

To send a Direct Message, please click on the “Direct Message” (speech bubble) icon in the top-right corner of the screen, then the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon. In the section, type or select "Xfinity Support" and type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send your message and initiate a live session. You can see how to send us a direct message here, https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/guidelines/how-to-direct-messaging-within-the-forum/697ba1e570934d009185c514.

.. Are you using a Safe Senders list ...

Sadly, yet again, employees seem to fail to understand what the "safe list" is and how it works. Enabling the Email Safe list in https://connect.xfinity.com means you will ONLY get email from the sender addresses in that list. All others will be rejected. See https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-connect-safe-list :

When Email Safe List is turned on, you’ll only receive email from those on the Safe List. All other emails will be filtered out and won’t be delivered.
