iPhone Mail app - 5 Email accounts but Xfinity emails are BLOCKED when I use Non-Xfinitiy WiFi

We have two iPhone 14's and two iPhone13's in the family.  Xfinity email accounts are being BLOCKED when we use other wifi service in our home.  If we turn WiFi off (and use our data) we can send and receive emails using the iPhone's MAIL app.  (So, we know our usernames/passwords work).  Plus, if we use the Safari-browser, and go to Xfinity-login--we can get our Email there.    All other email works on both data and non-Xfinity wifi---but Xfinity-e-mails in the native iPhone app are being blocked because we no longer use Xfinity-wifi.

I have called other ISP-providers and they tell the same story---that Xfinity is actively blocking accounts that use other internet providers.

2 full hours on the phone with XFinity today---and we did it all---tested browsers on Wifi and wired and they could see the XFinity Emails.  On our iPhones--we can see XFinity emails only when using a browser or using the iPhone-Mail app on "data only".    No hotspots, no VPNs---reset passwords 3x, and reinstalled the MAIL-account 3x too---just looks like sour grapes.

Anyone have a different explanation?

We experienced the same problem. iPhone email for xfinity accounts is being blocked by xfinity if you use WiFi that is not xfinity WiFi.

Hello @user_l2mg7t. This looks to be a security issue on Apples end that could have resulted from a recent update on the phones. Please contact the manufacturer for further assistance.

I called xfinity and they me load my email account on my phone - my emails are showing just not my mail boxes that I use to organize my emails. What's up with that?

Hey there, @phjr12 thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding the issue with your email. We truly appreciate you trying all of those troubleshooting steps. I definitely understand wanting to ensure your email is working properly as I rely on my email for just about everything! Just to confirm the issue with email is only happening on your phones, not with any other devices?

That’s correct. On on our iPhones, using native mail app, on a non-Xfinity WiFi.

All laptops and desktops worked using web-access to XFinity emails while on non-Xfinity-WiFi.

@phjr12 I appreciate you confirming! Do you currently have Xfinity services or are you no longer using Xfinity service just the Comcast email accounts?

We pay about $350 a month for Xifinity services. X1 platform, multi-room DVR, etc.

We’re using another service for web and WiFi with 1.2GBs of data (up) and 1.2GBs of data (down).

@phjr12  Feels “punitive” to block our IPhone’s mail app because we aren’t using your WiFi.

Works fine on data. Works fine in a web browser.

@phjr12 have you found a resolution?  I have now run into this same problem out of the blue.  I do not use xfinity at home anymore but still use the email.  I can no longer access through the email app on my iPhone on WiFi but can access on data.

Same problem here!  Finally got my mail app to verify my Comcast email after hours of troubleshooting.  But wouldn’t connect until I shut off my WiFi.  Finally got the iPhone web browser to access my email by changing my email password via the phone using the forget pw option.  I had changed it on my desktop pc and yet the phone wouldn’t accept it until I didn’t the second pw change via the phone itself.  What’s the solution for the WiFi issue not allowing access to the Comcast mailbox.  We use Fidium internet.
