is there a way to highlight a block of emails in inbox
In outlook, you can highlight an email {in the inbox}, then hit control + another key to highlight a block of contiguous emails, for example to then delete a bunch of emails quickly. Is there a way to do that with comcast/xfinity email inbox?

On a Windows or Mac desktop or laptop, yes. For a range of items, select the first item, then hold Shift and select the last item. All the items in between will be selected as well, even if they are on different "pages". To select multiple items in any order, hold Ctrl ("Command" on a Mac), then select each item.
I do not know how to do this on a phone or tablet.
