@user_gjf1so click on your profile picture for the dropdown menu. Click profile settings and there should be a box "Opt Out from Direct Messaging". Ensure that box is not checked. This should allow you to then see the direct messaging icon. In the meantime feel free to post publicly in detail the issues you've been experiencing and any troubleshooting attempts. Just leave off any personal information for your personal security.
