Mac Excel email attachments are corrupted

Sending the identical Mac 2016 Excel attachment through another server works fine, through Comcast, the attachment won't open and Excel gives the "file corrupted" error. It's not the sending IP, just the receiving Comcast server.

Hello @dr_jw, Thank you for taking the time out of your day to leave a post. Hope your day is going well. Sorry to hear you are encountering issues sending emails with an Excel attachment. Have you been able to send Excel email attachments through Mac Mail from your Xfinity email address? Have you tried sending the email from the Xfinity site instead of a third-party email client?

Thanks for your attention. I have no problem sending emails through Mac Mail. I also have no problems receiving emails. It's just that when I send an email to my Mac Mail account containing an Excel 2016 attachment it arrives corrupted and Excel 2016 won't open it. I've sent it through another email server (under a different domain) and it arrives in fine shape. So something is happening at the Xfinity server to corrupt the attachment apparently.

I'm running a Mac Studio M4, Sequoia 15.5, Excel 16.78. I hope you can help. Thanks again.

@dr_jw. Thank you for that information. We can try to look into this further and see if we can figure out what is going on.
