Mac mail client stopped working

My mail app on my MacBook stopped connecting to the comcast server or receiving messages. When I enter my password I get an error message, "unable to verify username or password." I've already tried:
-Changing my password

-Checking the "Third party access security" setting (the box is checked)

-Checking the incoming mail server settings on my mail app (pop3.comcast.net and Port 995)

Also, since I changed my password my iPhone mail app won't connect either.

I've seen some people on the forum having a similar issue but I haven't found a solution.

To add additional information, I got a new MacBook a few weeks ago so the issue is happening since setting that up. It worked fine at first, though.

Hi, thank you for your reply and sorry for the delay getting back to you. Two days after the problem started, my email clients started working again. My friend who lives nearby had the same issue at the same time. Maybe the IP addresses were blocked by Comcast temporarily? Anyway, the problem is resolved.
