Migration to Yahoo mail

Didn't take me long to enormously dislike yahoo mail which is loaded with ads.  Delete the ads then you get a popup to buy their ad free premium version.  Also, once migrated, I no longer get email in Outlook.  Downloaded a free email for my mobile.  No ads.  Now I need to figure out how to get my pc email working again.

If your PC is configured to use Comcast.net servers, you'll need to change them to use Yahoo servers. See:

When entering your email address or username, be sure to use your complete email address ending in "@comcast.net".

It is a pity that Comcast/Xfinity hasn't bothered created a detailed walkthrough of the process.

Yep, I've done that after my initial upset.

Apparently they no longer care about email to even provide such instructions.

Make sure you log in to yahoo webmail to begin with.  You need to change your server settings in Outlook to the Yahoo! Mail servers.

You can find information on Yahoo's mail servers here:

Me too. 3 days working on this and no nearer solution. Surprised Microsoft has not gotten involved.

user_72duop To confirm, after changing your setting in Outlook to match what is needed for email that converted to Yahoo that @Again shared, you are still running into problems?

I am hoping to smoothly migrate to Yahoo Mail. Would you please provide the complete steps to first start the migration process, and then make sure that I set it up correctly so I able to log into it again -- as that seems to be part of the problem that I'm reading about. Thanks

You will get an invitation to migrate to Yahoo! Mail.  If you haven't gotten it yet, don't worry because you should get it by the end of the year.

Regarding email migration to Yahoo! Mail  It’s currently optional to make the switch. Eventually, we do plan to migrate everyone to the Yahoo servers (probably by late 2026) to keep our email systems streamlined. We’ll keep you posted as that timeline gets closer!

So I can wait to migrate to Yahoo Mail, and hopefully all the glitches will be ironed out so it will be a smooth migration?
