missing group email addresses that disappeared

I had several groups of emails that I use to run my book club and mahjong groups, but the groups have disappeared from the address screen.  I can still use the group name to write an email, but I cannot open the group and add new names or delete old ones, because that whole section is gone since the last upgrade.

Hey there, jal1959! We appreciate you reaching out with your missing group email address concerns. I understand it is vital to be able to add new names or manage your contacts as desired from your email groups. Are you using a third-party email when using these groups?

Nope. I use regular Comcast Xfinity for all my emails. I have changed nothing but the groups have disappeared under the Address column.

What you’re describing usually happens after an update when the contact groups are still there on the backend, but the option to view or edit them isn’t showing properly in the current interface.

Since you’re still able to send emails using the group name, that’s a good sign the groups themselves haven’t been lost, it’s more of an access or display issue.

Let’s try a couple quick things first:

  • Log out of your email and sign back in
  • Clear your browser’s cache and cookies
  • Try accessing your email from a different browser or device

If the groups still don’t appear after that, we’ll want to take a closer look at your email settings and version to see what changed with the update and how we can restore access to manage those groups.

We’re here to help get this back to normal so you can manage your lists again.

jal1959 We'd be happy to dig a little deeper so we can get to the bottom of this.

Can you initiate a direct message and start with your full name and address? To start a direct message, you must be signed in. Please click the "Direct Messaging" icon in the top right of the page next to the bell, and send your message to "Xfinity Support". Talk to you there!
