Need help recovering email account

As of Friday, 4/19, I have been unable to access my Comcast email account on my mobile devices.  The email account is at least 10 years old and used several times per day.  We moved recently, and our home builder set up new Xfinity service, so my mobile number is now tied to the new account while the old account at our former home was closed.  When I attempt to log in to my Comcast email account I am prompted to reset the password, and when I enter my mobile number I am then given a message saying that I need to log in to the primary account to reset that email password.  Please advise.  We're not sure why the email suddenly stopped working a few days ago.
