Norton shutting down my connection to connect.xfinity.com because it's flagged as "a dangerous web page"

I can open my xfinity email, and read messages, but I can't do anything with the messages - like delete them or move them to my folders.  My Norton keeps giving me this message as I sign in to open my email:

"Threat secured"

"We prevented your coneection to connect.xfinity.com because it is a dangerous webpage. Threat category: URL:Phishing"

How can I safely connect to my comcast.net email?

My antivirus program is doing the same thing - every few minutes. What's going on?

Has your site been hijacked?

kuhnj1, we don't have any known security issues that have been announced, but I can understand your concern. I see others have tried to restart their devices or adjust their settings. Have you tried any troubleshooting so far?

Me too! Over and over. And each time there are 2 identical messages from Norton.

These constant popups make it hard to get anything done.

wybothr We do not have any reported issues from Norton at this time and do see that several customers were able to resolve the issue with a reset of their PC of device. Have you already attempted a reset on the device you are using to see if that helps clear up the pop-ups?

Same here. Odd that I can access this forum, but can't get my email. Both are on xfinity.com

I had the same thing happen (with Norton), starting at around 11 a.m.

At 1 p.m., I called Comcast about it, and the very helpful person I spoke to told me to restart my computer. Now, a half hour later, I've yet to see another popup.

I restarted my computer and it kept happening.  I actually couldn't find my draft, spam or delete folders. Then I opened another browser and tried again.  I found the missing folders, but was still getting the same message.  I restarted again, and quickly before the message came up, I was finally able to go into my spam folder and delete all emails in there. I also deleted my the emails in my trash folder.  Now no more message and email is working fine.

fixme, Thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Support. If Norton is blocking access to connect.xfinity.com, it may be due to its security settings identifying the site as potentially dangerous. To resolve this, you can either adjust Norton’s settings to allow access or temporarily disable Norton while accessing the site. If you believe the site is mistakenly flagged, you can report the issue to Norton for further review. Additionally, ensure that your Norton software is up to date, as outdated definitions may lead to false positives.
