Not Good -> Comcast.net Email is Moving to Yahoo!

First the Comcast Email app was done away with. Then Xfinity got rid of the remote App. Now they are not even going to host and operate their own email service as it's being handed over to Yahoo!, a company that has heavily censored peoples' comments on their articles starting during Covid/Floyd riots and continues to do so to this day.

Xfinity Email move to Yahoo Mail

Because many, if not most, use a different email host.  For example:  many use Gmail.  That way your email is agnostic and you do not have to log in to your xfinity account. to check your email.

Need to send a message to xfinity about this [Edited: "Language"] decision by leaving them altogether.
Everyone who ends up on yahoo mail says it is worse than the AOL debacle back in the 90's.
It takes days or weeks to get into their email, and between their two services (internet provider and yahoo) they play the blame game and never actually FIX anything!@

Who is "everyone"?  I don't have a problem.  And I never had any problems with AOL, either.

Because no one knows. I guess this explains why Comcast was booed rather loudly at 4th July Philly game. They're not liked at all. To service so many of us and be a lousy company...well, Comcast can't even guarantee email now.smh

Hi there @user_sh99a2.  As we prepare to sunset the Xfinity Email platform, we’ve chosen to partner with Yahoo Mail to provide active Comcast.net email users continued access to their email accounts and the ability to keep their current email address along with an improved email experience.

We believe Yahoo Mail provides the ultimate modern email platform, with AI-driven tools to streamline your inbox management, advanced email protection, smart and intuitive calendar features, and a mobile app so you can stay connected on the go.

This move does not impact any paid services or other customer relationships existing customers may have with Xfinity or Comcast; Xfinity services will continue to remain subject to Comcast terms of service and privacy policy applicable to those services.

Shipping off email to a company that's been circling the drain for the last decade. Great move xfinity!!!

We appreciate your comment with feedback JimmyG1. This partnership aims to provide active comcast.net email users with continued access to their email accounts while enhancing their experience with Yahoo's modern email features, including AI-driven tools, advanced email protection, and improved mobile access. The transition will also not affect any other Xfinity services 👍

Time to sunset our landline, check out other internet services, and  really start using my gmail accounts.
Very disappointing.
