Old profile pic shows up when I send a comcast email

I use my comast.net email for personal use only, and honestly I rarely use it. I happened to send an email from my comcast.net address yesterday and the person receiving my email noticed a very old profile pic. I couldn't see it on my end, so I sent myself an email to my gmail account. Sure enough, the profile picture shows up next to the email (NOT in my signature). I went to my account settings to try to change my profile picture and I cannot see anywhere to do this. It must have been an old feature that is no longer available. However, I need to remove this outdated profile picture! How can I do it?

Thanks for reaching out, there's not an option to add a photo or remove a photo from your Xfinity profile accounts.

That would most likely be within the setting on your mobile device as your e-mail maybe sync to your contacts which it's using the photo that would be listed in your contacts. Have you went on your device to see if your e-mail contact is synced with your contacts on your phone for your device

I'm having the same issue! It's been ongoing for about 10 years & I've never managed to figure out how to remove it. My contact photo in my iPhone is a new photo of me, but this isn't the one that shows up for my comcast email. So frustrating.

Hi there, @user_c4aab8, I'm very sorry for the trouble you are experiencing with your profile picture. The contact photo you set on your iPhone isn't automatically shared with your Comcast email. Comcast email doesn't use the same contact photo system as your iPhone's Contacts app. To change the photo associated with your Comcast email, you'll need to adjust the settings within your email client or the Comcast webmail interface.-Richard
