Outgoing email not working.
Ok, I have two xfinity email addresses. My primary email is receiving OK, but outgoing emails are not being sent. I keep getting this error message: "[SMTP] SMTP server doesn't support authentication." Now, my server settings for both addresses are the same and the secondary email works fine. Is this somehow related to the recent forced password update, or a server issue on the xfinity side of the house?

When you changed the password for the account, did you also change it in whatever client or mail app you are using?

As a result of the Comcast breach my wife changed her passwords. Everything is working on her phone, on the comcast website except she cannot send messages from her mac mail although she is receiving emails on mac mail on her computer. The outgoing server account says comcast out (offline). Her username and password are correct , the host name is smtp.comcast.net and I have clicked automatically manage connection settings. Any idea what is the problem?
