Password reset for comcast.net email address that is NOT the ID for a current Xfinity account
My husband has a comcast.net email address that was once the ID for an old Xfinity account. We have moved to a different state and I opened our new Xfinity account using my Gmail account as the Xfinity ID. My husband's comcast email password is no longer working (may have changed it again without saving it), so we need to reset the password. We tried resetting it on the Xfinity website and eventually get directed to call 1-800-XFINITY. Unfortunately, none of the options on the phone menu address this situation. All the options are focused on starting/modifying an Xfinity account, particularly since calling from the phone numbers (home and mobile) associated with the Xfinity account assume the call MUST be about the account. There is no way to reach a representative to address the specific issue. What do we do? Because we just moved, my husband needs access to his email to verify access to a number of bank and insurance accounts to update his address. This is very frustrating.
