Recent email missing from in-box and sent items

Hi - All of our email messages in the in-box and sent items from 11/15 to 12/8 have gone missing.  I logged onto Xfinity apps and the messages are not showing there either.  I tried to recover them, but only messages before 11/15 are available to restore.  What is going on here?  The messages still show on my wife's Iphone, but I suspect she must have it set to download them locally because they don't show on our home computer or my phone.  Thanks

If your wife has the account enabled in an app/client using the POP3 protocol-----------then yes, it would download the emails and delete them from the server.

OK, I will check that.  Thank you!  If that change was made, would it go back a few weeks as I described?  Also, how would that affect how those two weeks of email show up on our home computer and my phone?  Is because those two accounts may be using a different protocol that always pulls from the server?

We can't find that setting on her Iphone, but I will note that she has not changed the settings in several years and that email is now accumulating normally in our in box and sent items since 12/8.  That leads me to believe that some other one-time event caused the email from November 15 to December 8 to disappear.  It's disturbing, but at least she has copies on her phone.

@user_5l68xf Glad there were copies. Let's be sure that doesn't happen again. I would like to follow up next month to see how the email account is working.

I think Xfinity/Comcast must be having problems.  Our missing email between 11-15 and 12-8 is now back on the server, but email from 12-8 to today is now missing!!  By "missing" I mean that it also not in deleted items on the server so I can't try to recover it.  WTH is going on?
