Restoring Deleted Messages

On 12/24 at approx. 2200 Pacific time, all incoming e-mails dated from 12/03 through 12/24 were deleted -- uncommanded by me -- from all my devices and from Xfinity web mail. I also noticed that, at the same time, my junk and trash folders were also cleared with being commanded. How can I get those messages restored. It appears the action was on the Xfinity end.

This must be a widespread issue.  I have this issue and replied to this other thread https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/email/vanished-email/65891c802e4f0f28452ea39e

Hello and welcome to Comcast @user_di7z4q. I am sorry to hear that your emails have disappeared. Have you tired the steps on this link https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/recover-deleted-email

Didn't work. The e-mails in question were received between December 4 and December 24; these messages disappeared from all my devices and the Comcast webmail (without my deleting them) and did not appear in the list of messages which could be recovered. It may also be noted that -- again uncommanded by me -- my junk folder was emptied as was the trash folder as it existed at that point. Also, I had been getting an extraordinary amount of spam for about a month prior to this event (from a relatively small number of domains); since this event took place, I haven't received any spam, so I'm wondering if these events could be related.

Hope you all have other ideas; thanks for your help.

Regards

@user_di7z4q Have you tried to update your password? I did this recently and emails I was missing reappeared after 24 hours.

I updated my password on 12/24 (after the e-mails were deleted)...let me try it again.

Perhaps, again possibly only a coincidence, for about 3 months prior to this incident, I was getting spam-blasted from a relatively small number domains. Since then, I haven't received spam e-mails. No complaints, of course, but it does seem peculiar that both happened at the same time...
