Server does not support authentication
I have a Samsung S23 and using the Samsung email app. I have a AOL, Gmail and Comcast email accounts set up on the app. The AOL and Gmail accounts work properly but I cannot send email from my Comcast email account. It says the email will be sent when I'm connected to the server the next time.
My Comcast email account works on my computer, and the inbox is syncing between my phone and my computer. But I cannot send email from my Samsung email app on my phone.
I uninstalled the app, reinstalled, cleared cache and data, and loaded the AOL and Gmail accounts which work fine. However, now I cannot install the Comcast account because it says "Couldn't verify account" and "Server does not support authentication".

Hi, user_7q4frv! Thanks for taking the time to visit XFINITY for help for getting the Comcast email to work with the Samsung email app. We can help. To provide our customers with additional security, we added a new checkbox to the Xfinity Email website. This may affect your ability to manage your Xfinity Email (Comcast.net) through a third-party program such as the Samsung email app. The security setting is checked by default. You can easily change this setting at any time by checking the box and turning on access. Here's how. Please let us know if this helps.
