smtp negotiaion failed for SSL Version TLSv1

I am one of those few (maybe 20 globally) who refuse to give up on Eudora 7..1. It was working well until I added a couple of Gmail accounts. I have now deleted everything. Done a system restore to about a week ago when all was well. Reconfigured Comast.net server information to imap.comcast.net w/ STARTTLS required at PORT 993 & smtp.comcast.net w/  STARTTLS if available at PORT 587. 

When I access my SSL Connection Info Manager it Negotiation Failed for SSL Version TLSv1.

I accessed my Certificate Information Manager & see that all the current Comcast certificates are available. Just need to figure out how to have them connect from my machine to the server.

Any help or idea would be much appreciated.

Have you had a chance to review over the Xfinity email settings? That would a good place to start. Please let me know if you run into anymore issues.
