SMTP server working on iPhone but not on my MacBook Pro?

My email works on my phone and iPad. I can receive email on my MacBook but can’t send. I tried to reenter my password but it just spins and never saves. I changed my password on my Xfinity account and updated it on my phone. Works fine. I tried again to update on my MacBook but it would not work. I added the extra Port 465 and SSL settings. This time it would save but the MacBook SMTP is still not working!!! 🤯

I tried calling Xfinity "Customer Service" but the constant automated system that gets you nowhere just added to the frustration. I have tried everything I can think of. Any suggestions would be most welcome!

Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Community Forums support page. I am glad to hear that you are able to access your email on other devices, that means the issue is with the MacBook Pro. Have you attempted to delete your email profile and start a new profile to see if that helps fix the issues?
